150 Days of Prophetic Favor – Psalm 72

Welcome to 150 Days of Prophetic Favor. Today is April 13, 2022 and we are on Psalm 72.

From February to the end of June, we will explore the Psalms for prophetic insight and encouragement. To watch any previous days, see this playlist.

This is the only Psalm of Solomon, though there are 18 Psalms written in 60 BC, around the time of the conquering of Israel by Rome, which are attributed to “Solomon” but 900 years after his death they didn’t actually come from Solomon. Some theorize they were named that because the theme of those Psalms (which are not canonized scripture) is similar to Psalm 72.

Psalm 72 (NLT)
A psalm of Solomon.

1 Give your love of justice to the king, O God,
and righteousness to the king’s son.
2 Help him judge your people in the right way;
let the poor always be treated fairly.
3 May the mountains yield prosperity for all,
and may the hills be fruitful.
4 Help him to defend the poor,
to rescue the children of the needy,
and to crush their oppressors.
5 May they fear you as long as the sun shines,
as long as the moon remains in the sky.
Yes, forever!

This very much aligns with the story of Solomon, but actually the last verse seems to identify this Psalm as the dying prayer of David over Solomon, his heir and successor. In that context, this is a powerful prayer that would be prophetic over Solomon’s life, a life that is well documented in 1&2 Kings, 1&2 Chronicles, Ecclesiastes, and the Song of Solomon.

6 May the king’s rule be refreshing like spring rain on freshly cut grass,
like the showers that water the earth.
7 May all the godly flourish during his reign.
May there be abundant prosperity until the moon is no more.
8 May he reign from sea to sea,
and from the Euphrates River to the ends of the earth.
9 Desert nomads will bow before him;
his enemies will fall before him in the dust.
10 The western kings of Tarshish and other distant lands
will bring him tribute.
The eastern kings of Sheba and Seba
will bring him gifts.
11 All kings will bow before him,
and all nations will serve him.

This is prophetic over Solomon in the last days of David, but it is also prophetic over the truly anointed king (president) of the United States of America. When 45 is brought back into rightful position, we will see all these prayers realized over America. All the godly will flourish during his reign, he will effectively reign from sea to sea, and to the end of the earth as the most powerful head of state in the world. He will bring justice to those that perpetrated evil upon the world in a global set of trials like the Nuremberg trials after WW2. This is WW3, though not a traditional war. Western kings will bring him tribute, and eastern kings will bring him gifts. Watch as this plays out!!!

12 He will rescue the poor when they cry to him;
he will help the oppressed, who have no one to defend them.
13 He feels pity for the weak and the needy,
and he will rescue them.
14 He will redeem them from oppression and violence,
for their lives are precious to him.

Trump always protected life, and was America first. This means he always prioritized the prosperity and safety of Americans over any global agenda. It doesn’t mean he didn’t help where America is meant to help, but it does mean that global manipulation was not an agenda of the 45 Administration. He will do so again, and to a greater degree, without the constant evil regime, media, tech, and other areas of culture working against him at every turn.

15 Long live the king!
May the gold of Sheba be given to him.
May the people always pray for him
and bless him all day long.
16 May there be abundant grain throughout the land,
flourishing even on the hilltops.
May the fruit trees flourish like the trees of Lebanon,
and may the people thrive like grass in a field.
17 May the king’s name endure forever;
may it continue as long as the sun shines.
May all nations be blessed through him
and bring him praise.

All nations will be blessed through 45, as he submits to the King of kings and Lord of lords, Jesus Christ. He carries the Isaiah 45 Cyrus anointing, and that assignment is not yet complete. He will make America great again, and a sheep nation evangelizing all the nations of the world. His reinstatement will be a boon of such great proportion that prosperity will not be only in America. Israel will see amazing fruit and a great revival for the last great harvest.

18 Praise the Lord God, the God of Israel,

who alone does such wonderful things.
19 Praise his glorious name forever!
Let the whole earth be filled with his glory.
Amen and amen!
20 (This ends the prayers of David son of Jesse.)

As you can see with v20, Solomon is indicating this is the prayer of David over him, and the end of the prayers of David means this was likely from his death bed. Let us pray this psalm over 45 and over America, and may all nations be blessed through him. Thank you God that you have put your prophetic seed in the ground in the times of David and Salomon, and it can yield fruit even today! Amen!
